Marco Pillo – Bulería

Video

Marco Pillo studied at Conservatory in Prague, his main subject was cimbalom. Later he also learnt playing the classical guitar. When studying in Barcelona he was introduced to the local Romani style flamenco, what greatly influenced his later performance. The digital cultural object is the video recording of him interpreting the Buleria composition. “Bulería” is the most characteristic flamenco style of Jerez de la Frontera (the hometown of flamenco, Andalusia, Spain). It is generally composed of three or four eight-syllable verses. This is one of the most complex dancing and guitar styles: bustling, happy and cheerful. Bulerías constitute an usuall dance to finish all flamencos parties.
