Ľudovít Petík comes from a well-known family of musicians, where it was customary to play and at the same time to work as craftmen of various kinds. Ľudovít himself played music his whole life, in addition to this he worked for 45 years as a driver, out of them the last 30 years he drove the City buses in Prešov Public Transport Company. In his narration he returns to the years of his childhood, recalling the stories told by his grandfather and father, both veterans of the First and Second World Wars.
The narrative is divided into six parts: THE FIRST WORLD WAR; GRANDPARENTS – LIFE IN RAŽŇANY; GRANDPARENTS – THE ORIGIN OF GRANDMOTHER; WORLD WAR II; FATHER AS A PARTIZAN; THE LEAD VIOLINIST IN THE CONCENTRATION CAMP.
